Vitamin E-Max 10

Good morning
I have a male and a female cockatiels. They mated and the female laid alot and alot of eggs but none of them hatched.
Their pet store owner suggested a liquid bottle with Vitamin E-max 10 on it and he told me that it’s going to help in the hatching of eggs.
Is it safe? And how do I give to them, in their food or water or what?

Answer:

Hi Malik,

I am not familiar with this. I do not recommend supplements unless under the advice of your avian vet. It’s not unusual for eggs not to hatch the first time or two. When you day she has laid a lot of eggs though, it sounds like she may have laid too many already. I would remove the nest box for now and rest the pair for at least 6 months. Focus on good nutrition for them and once they have rested long enough, you can let them try again.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
