New bigger cage
I have got a bigger cage for my 8 finches but two pairs just hatched babies they are a day old when will it be best to transfer them all to there new cage

You actually should not be breeding your birds when you have more than one pair in a cage. If you move all of the birds, the pairs will most likely abandon their nests and chicks. You need to wait until the chicks are weaned. You then need to find new homes for the chicks, because otherwise they might breed with their parents or with each other when they are older and you should never allow related birds to breed. I would recommend not giving them nests once you have them moved. If you want to breed, you need to only have one pair per cage. Breeding birds can be very territorial, and when trying to breed in a group like you have, they are likely to fight and raid each other’s nests. You also have no control over who breeds with who, and then you end up with inbreeding and weak, unhealthy chicks. If you want to keep them in a flock, then it’s best to not have nests and just enjoy your birds without breeding them.
