Are food boxes safe for birds my bird loves to shred them up I’ve been reading they may not be safe thanks

The concerns would be if the boxes had any type of coating on them or ink that isn’t safe. Also, tearing up boxes can trigger hormonal behavior. If your bird is a female, I definitely recommend another activity other than shredding, because with some species, the females are more likely to become chronic egg layers.
