Budgie piercing everything in nest

My budgies are quite mature now but only female budgie enters the breeding box and does not allow male budgie let in..Why?

Answer:

Hi,

This is not uncommon. The main issue would be if she is attacking him, or if she is damaging or eating the eggs. When a bird starts doing that, then it should not be used as a breeder because they rarely stop. It’s very common with birds that were set up for breeding too young, or birds that have been over bred. But some birds simply aren’t good breeders. As long as she isn’t hurting the male, you can wait and see how things work out. But if she starts to attack him, they will need to be split up and most likely you won’t be able to breed this pair.
