Undigested seeds in cockatiel poop.

I have left my cockatiel in my family’s care and am at abroad right now and they tell me that my bird has been pooping undigested seeds. They have sent me a picture and it looks yellow in colour and contains undigested seeds. They tell me it’s because of the bird seed that I brought for the bird, they say it’s a new brand and that it’s bad for the bird but I think I left the bird with premium bird seed but now they have switched to a cheaper bird seed that the bird previously used to have in an effort to fix the problem. I have begged them to take the bird to a vet and but they just don’t listen to me. The bird is still relatively active they say. I am growing more and more tensed every hour, please help me.

Answer:

Hi,

I am very sorry you are not there and are having problems with your family not listening to you. I agree that the bird needs to be seen by a Vet as soon as possible. This sounds more like a disease or some disorder that would cause this.

Take care,

Brenda
