CBD for cocktails with arthritis
My 21 year old cockatiel has pretty bad arthritis. Our vet put him on meloxicam about a year ago. She wants us to add CBD. How ever she doesn’t know much about it. Can you help at all?

CBD is being used for some birds. Dr. Stephanie Lamb did a webinar about alternative medicines and discusses pain relief. I would recommend that you view it, and then see if your Vet wants to schedule a consultation with her to discuss a dosage. She can consult with Vets in another state, but regulations prevent Vets from consulting out of state with the owner. We also have a product that works very well on senior birds – our Senior Bird Nutri-Berries, which do come in a small size for cockatiels. It contains the appropriate levels of herbs and supplements to address arthritis and other health issues associated with senior birds.
