Psittacosis – Dr. Lamb Webinar Feb 10

Can psittacosis or the treatment for psittacosis cause plucking?

Answer:

Yes, psittacosis can cause plucking but it’s not a common feature of it and its more that the stress of the disease could cause it. The treatment for psittacosis usually wont cause plucking; however, the stress of being treated might. Again, that is not common put anything is possible when it comes to feather plucking!
