Love birds

What is wrong with siblings pairing

Answer:

Hi,

Related birds should never be bred to each other. It results in weak offspring with genetic issues and shortened lifespans. It can result in chicks that die in the shell, hatch with deformities, missing legs, wings or eyes and many other possibilities. Even if the offspring appear normal, they are usually plagued with health issues and only live about a year or maybe a few years.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
