paper toys

I have tons of used papers collecting dust and want to make a good use of them. All of them have scribbles of pencil and I wonder whether pencil scribbled papers are safe for my lovebirds to chew. My birds love chewing on paper and they destroy my wallpapers which I don’t want. Is pencil scribbled papers safe for birds to chew on? There is no coloring in these papers nor printing ink. However, I worry because the amount of pencil graphite on the papers is quite much.

Answer:

Hi,

You should only give your birds plain paper with no writing.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
