Rose breasted cockatoo -Diet

Hi,
My Rosie (6 month) eats all of your products when I closely look at those forging veggies balls it looks it has seeds in it? She pick and choose from those forging balls.
If I give her only ur veggie balls will that cover her diet. Long run will it cause any health issue because of fat?

Since I switched to ur diet she doesn’t eat pallets. She has never given a chance to fruits or veggies. She just run away from those. Not sure how to make her eat pallets or fresh food.

Thanks,
JD

Answer:

Hi,

Diet can be confusing because there is a lot of bad information out there. The “seeds are bad” myth began with some pellet companies in order to sell their pellets – which are made from ground seeds and added supplements. It is true that loose seeds are usually not fresh enoough to retain their nutrients, and any that are added are lost when the bid removes the hull. Our foraging diets contain fresh, human grade seeds with the hull removed, combined with other ingredients and coated with a nutritionally balanced binder. Each bite has balanced nutrition, so yes, they can be fed as the main diet. I do encourage you to keep offereing veggies and fruits. She will learn to eat other foods if you keep offering them. Most owners give up too soon. Try cutting them in different sizes and preparing them in different ways. Some birds like raw veggies and other prefer cooked veggies. A varied diet is more natural for her, but as for nutrition she will get what she needs from our diets.

Thanks for the update,

Brenda
