Heat temprature

Hello!!
Im Wes. I started to have Macaw recently and selecting pellets.
I found below article but what is the unit of the degree??
Is it celsius or fahrenheit??

>Pellets reach a temperature of around 165 degrees when ?formed and are then cooled. Because extrusion generally requires 100% gelatinization of the starches (the starches melt), the food is generally heated to 250 to 275 degrees

I understand that production temprature is very important to
know about the nutrition loss on pellet so I would like to understand the accurate information.

Answer:

Hi Wes,

These temperatures would be in Fahrenheit. Our pellets are true pellets which are processed at lower temperatures. Extruded diets are processed at higher temperatures which causes a significant loss of nutrients, that must then be added back in various forms. So a true pellet will be more natural and need fewer added nutrients than an extruded diet.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
