Incubation

I have a
Parakeet egg tha has been in a incubator, after it hatches can I but it back in the nesting box with the parents.

Answer:

Hi,

You can try to see if the parents will take care of it. It’s not a good idea to artificially incubate parakeet eggs. There really is no reason to do this as they are very abundant and not much monetary value. If a pair won’t sit on the eggs, then don’t breed the pair again. Many pairs mess up their first and sometimes second clutches. You need to leave them alone and let them learn by their mistakes. Parakeets are nearly impossible to keep alive when handfeeding from Day 1. They might live a few days being hand fed but usually die anyway.
