You should put it in the nest to encourage them to use the nest box. It is highly unlikely that these eggs will hatch. She was probably already forming the egg when you got her. Most breeding pairs need time to settle into a new home before they produce eggs. She may only lay the one egg. If she lays a clutch, she probably won’t sit on them. If they ignore these eggs, then remove the box and wait at least 6 months before giving it back to them. This gives them time to get used to their new home and to rest. You should remove the box and rest the pair for 6 months between every clutch. Never allow them to breed over and over again or it will end up killing the female. In the wild, they only breed once a year, so in captivity, it is the owner’s responsibility to limit how much they breed.
