Budgie fighting

My bajriga bird laid four eggs. But only one egg hatched. The remaining three eggs were infertile. The baby Budgie died at the age of two days. So yesterday my mom took out the rest of the eggs too. My female budgie has been fighting with the male budgie since yesterday She does not allow the male Budgie to sit on the stick, and also does not allow him to eat food properly. What can I do now?

Answer:

Hi,

It’s important that you remove the nest box. You need to separate the birds for now. Female budgies can be very aggressive and have been known to kill a mate. They may just not be compatible as a pair, even though they bred. You can try putting them back together after a few days or even a few weeks. If they still fail to get along, then they may have to remain separated.
