My bird bit me

Why my bird start biting me, we used to be friends, and now he more friends with my son than me!

Answer:

Hi,

Parrots are an exotic pet, so their behavior is based on wild instincts. In the wild, a mature parrot will choose one mate, and no longer interact physically with other flock members. In captivity, this is why parrots often only like one person. It sounds like your bird has bonded with your son, and now views you as a rival. You can’t force a parrot to like you. Your parrot might be tame with you if your son isn’t around. But if it is really bonded with your son, it may continue to bite you.
