Looking for behavior and signs for my conure bird who has laid an egg

My bird has laid an egg and has been active after laying the egg, she laid and egg on Sunday and has not laid an egg on Monday and has been making some wired noise for sometime is she in any kind of danger or is she tired. Note that the birds have been mating even after laying the egg.

Answer:

Hi,

If the female is in distress, such as egg binding, she will sit fluffed up and be clearly straining, with her tail pumping up and down. In that case, you need to take her to an Avian Vet as soon as possible. Otherwise, she should lay an egg every other day. If this is their first clutch, they most likely will make mistakes and probably won’t be successful. Just leave them alone and let them learn, and hopefully they will get things right the next time.
