Optimum temperature for 30 day old budgie

Hello, can you please tell me the optimum temperature for a 30-day-old budgie and is it okay to keep him in an air-conditioned room (temp: 24 C) at night?

Answer:

Hi,

If you are comfortable, then the bird will be. Birds are more likely to get too hot than too cold. They can keep themselves warm much easier than try to cool off if they get overheated. They will adjust to the temperature that their owner prefers. It is best to avoid drafts, such as from a ceiling fan or air conditioner vent. Basically you do not want the air to blow directly on your bird. If they are by a window, they need to be able to get away from the sunlight if they get too hot.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
