My parakeet recently passed away, he was ill for maybe a month. His partner is now sick pulling her feathers out and large soft stools. There is no avian vet around my area. She is alert and very active but I worry her health will become worse. What can I do?

You may have to travel, but she needs to be seen by a vet. There is no way to know what is wrong with her just by her symptoms. There are many illnesses that have the same symptoms. I know it can be hard to find a vet who treats birds, but sometimes you may have to travel several hours to take your bird to one. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to help you as we have no way of knowing what is wrong with her.
