Taming a bonded pair of sun conures

So i just recently bought two sun conures that are presumly bonded they always have been together same cage from what i know. Right now they share the same cage, Would it help me to tame them if i put them in separate cages? They are around 1 year old from what i know

Answer:

Hi,

If you want any chance of taming them, they need to be in separate cages. And if they are male and female, they should not be together at this age. They are too young to breed, and the female could end up laying eggs at too young of an age if they remain together. They should be 3-5 years old before they are together for breeding. Taming is going to be challenging, but again, they need to be split up either way. I’ll give you our links on behavior and training to help you.
