Screaming non stop

I have a cockatiel about 11 weeks old he’s already transferring from formula to solid food and we’re about to get fully weaned but he just screams non stop I read ur advice to someone else to leave hin food and go out of sight but he eats even when his crop is so full so I take out the food. And even when he’s not hungry he just keeps shouting he gets abit quiet if I ignore him but re starts shouting after a few minutes

Answer:

Hi,

This is pretty normal for a chick this age. You should offer a variety of foods in the morning before you hand feed, and leave the room. Don’t hand feed him for at least an hour, and do not fill him up. Repeat this before each feeding, and he should gradually refuse feedings until he is weaned. However, if he doesn’t seem to get satisfied, you may want to take him to an avian vet. Crop infections are common with handfeeding birds, and some infections can make them feel hungry all the time.
