I can’t tame my budgies.

I’ve had my male budgie for 4 months and he’s around 8 months old now. He seemed very lonely so we got him a female partner she’s 4 months now. I can’t tame either of them, whenever I try to get near them, they fly around like crazy. Even when I try to take their perches to clean them or to add new toys, they fly around their cage. I would be interested in any tips for taming them.

I’ll give you the links to our behavior and training pages and they should help. But with two birds together, it is unlikely you will ever tame them, but you can at least learn how to earn their trust.
