Question:

2 female one male

Can 2 females conure be with one male in the same cage and can they still mate

Answer:

Hi,

Definitely not! Even if you are not breeding your birds, it’s not a good idea to have an odd number of birds in the same cage. They end up pairing off and the odd bird gets bullied. For breeding, you should only have one male and one female per cage. Both parents help with the eggs and chicks. An extra bird in the cage is likely to be killed by the pair, because breeding pairs are very territorial, and other birds will be viewed as rivals and will be attacked.
