10 week old Eclectus parrot

Hi,

My eclectus parrot is 10 weeks old and I’m having issues with feeding him 1 porridge meal a day, he refuses to eat but he does snack on veg and pellets the whole day. He tends to attack the spoon now.

Is he ready to go off the porridge completely as its becoming a struggle more and more every day?

Hi.

It does sound like he has given up on the syringe. You can try adding some formula along with the pellets & veggies. Keep offering the formula every other day, just to make sure he is eating enough. But if he keeps refusing, then he is weaned.
