My cocktail pair has done breeding one time but now they are sitting far aways from each othwr why

Answer:

Hi,

A male and female do not always bond as mates. They might even mate, but not truly be bonded. And sometimes they start mating, but aren’t yet ready to settle down and lay eggs and raise chicks. If they are too young, they may not know what to do. They should be at least 2 year old. Just give them privacy and when they are ready, they will settle down, mate and lay a clutch of eggs.
