I bring a new male dove but she has such an aggressive behaviour that i cant describe She attacks cruelly on that male dove… What should I do now????

Answer:

Hi,

You need to separate them for now before she ends up killing him. She already had a mate, and they do mate for life unless something happens to the mate. But she needs time to figure out the other bird is gone. You can’t just replace a mate like that and expect her to accept him. As far as she is concerned, he is an intruder and her mate is coming back. Keep them in cages side by side and see what happens. It can take weeks or months, and she may never accept him. Is he old enough to breed? If he is a young bird, she isn’t going to accept him until he is older. He needs to be close to the same age as her. All you can do is wait and see if she accepts him eventually.
