I recently got a bird and she popping a dark drown color

Hi,

The color of the droppings can change based on what the bird eats. However, it can also change due to illness. It’s always best to take a new bird to a Vet to be checked out when you first get it. I would recommend a vet check to make sure nothing is going on.
