When chicks leave the nest should I take it away straight away

Hi Patrick,

Yes, otherwise the parents will start another clutch too soon. In some cases when they do this, they stop feeding the chicks and let them starve to death. So you remove the nest to make sure they focus on weaning their chicks. Rest them for a few months before returning the nest. The chicks have to be removed as soon as they are weaned.
