Breeding

My love bird layed 3 eggs just want to now if they dont hatch what will happen will she still lay on them

Answer:

Hi,

Lovebird eggs take 18-24 days to hatch – this is from the time that each egg is laid. This can vary so the eggs should be left with the pair for 30 days after the last egg was laid. Usually if they are not going to hatch, the female abandons them. But you can remove the eggs after 30 days – again counting from when the last egg was laid. At this point, the nest box should be removed and the pair rested for 6 months before letting them breed again.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
