Budgie

Hello, I am leaving for ten days and have to leave my budgie alone. She usually has my cockatiel to keep her company, but he has to be left for pension in a hospital while I am gone because of his health problems. I have a friend who will come twice a day to feed her and change her water, but I’m scared my budgie will still be lonely. Do you think she will be okay? What else could I do to make sure she does not get too bored?

Answer:

Hi,

You can ask your friend to turn on some music or children’s programs on TV during the day so the house won’t be so quiet. Your little budgie should be fine. Of course the lights should be on during the day, and AC set at the usual temperature.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
