Will a female attack his pair when breeding

Answer:

Hi,

Are you asking if the mates will attack each other? Pairs will have mild fights. Any fighting that involves feathers being pulled out or any type of injury is serious and the birds should be separated. Most birds that fight this badly are not bonded as a pair and are not likely to be suitable as a breeding pair. If there is a big age difference, this can cause fights. If one bird is mature enough to breed and the other is still too young, then the mature bird might attack the younger bird out of frustration. Again, the birds should be separated.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
