Budgie Eggs

My questions is that I have 2 pair of budgies in a large box with 2 nesting boxes will they breed and eventually lay eggs

Answer:

Hi,

You should only have one pair in a cage if you are going to breed them. You need to either remove the nest boxes, or separate the pairs to two cages. If you try to keep them together, they will get very territorial and the females will attack the males or each other. If any eggs are laid, the females will raid each other’s nest boxes and destroy the eggs. So again, either remove the nest boxed or put one pair in another cage.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
