Budgie / Parakeet

How long will a parrot live outside in 20 degree weather

Answer:

Hi Larry,

I doubt that a pet budgie can survive below freezing temperatures. Usually when it gets to about 50F or lower, it is time to bring the bird inside or provide a heat source and protection from the wind. Without this, captive parrots have been known to freeze to their perches and die from extreme cold.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,
