Budgie tests

At an annual exam my vet does a CBC and fecal gram stain on my budgies, should there be additional tests given the small amount of blood that can be taken on a small bird?

Hi Jane,

The CBC is enough and if the Vet sees a potential problem, they might schedule another appointment for additional tests as indicated. A lot of tests can be run with a small amount of blood, and new technology is becoming available.
