Budgies

Can I transfer the small budgies to a different nest as 5 new born are not able to accommodate in the small box where the mother buggies laid eggs. The new box will vept in the same cage.

Answer:

Hi,

Unfortunately budgies typically will not tolerate having their eggs or chicks moved. This is true with parrot species in general. Most likely the pair will ignore the chicks entirely, or in some cases they will kill them. It’s better to hope things will work out with the smaller box, or if you know how to hand feed, you could remove the older chicks when they get too large.
