Budgies

How many days after will budgie eggs hatch??
My budgie laid eggs before 18-10 days….Still it is not hatching..Why??

Answer:

Hello,

Is this the same clutch where at least one chick has already hatched? You had asked about the parents feeding it. Each egg can take 18-21 days – but that begins when the parents start sitting on the eggs, not when the egg is laid. And each egg takes that long – they do not all hatch at the same time. When there are several eggs, the last to hatch can be a week younger than the first to hatch. Sometimes eggs hatch late, and sometimes they don’t hatch at all. This can be because they are not fertile, the parents didn’t incubate them correctly, the environment is too dry or too humid, the female has laid too many eggs or has been over bred, one or both parents are infertile, nutrition is not adequate, or several other causes. All you can do is provide the best nutrition and environment and hope everything goes well. Whether they hatch or not, the nest box still must be removed after the chicks leave or if the eggs aren’t hatching in order for the parents to rest.
