Calcium rich foods

What kind of food is recommended for calcium?

Answer:

Hi Dr. Soga,

Here is the response from Dr. Lamb: Foods that are good for calcium can include egg shells(always wash shells first), oyster shells, cuttle bones, dark leafy greens, almonds, pistachios, certain grains (Kamut, mung beans, quinoa), and certain seeds (broccoli seeds, sesame seeds).  I will also sometimes have people get calcium for reptiles (without vitamin D3 added) and have them sprinkle that on food as a calcium source.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
