I don’t believe in these calming supplements – most are just some type of vitamin that makes them drowsy or really have no effect. A healthy bird should not need something like this. If your bird has an issue such as feather plucking, this is a medical issue – it can be a combined medical and emotional issue, but this is for the vet you help you determine. Otherwise, if the bird seems distressed somehow, you need to figure out what in the environment is causing this. Drugging the bird is not a solution, and that is basically what these supplements do. If your bird is loud and active, he is just being a normal bird and needs to be allowed to act like a bird. If you can let us know why you were using this product, we can help you find a more productive solution that is beneficial for your bird.
