Canary wing parrot

Can you tell a little about Yellow Wing Tipped Canaries Parakeets.

Answer:

Hi Kimberly,

Are you asking about the Brotogeris species? This includes several popular species including the Canary Winged Parrot, White Winged Parrot, Cobalt Winged Parrot, and Grey Cheeked Parrot. The White Winged Parrot was formerly considered a sub-species of the Canary Winged, but has been reclassified as it’s own species. All Brotogeris generally make good pets. They are fair talkers, very intelligent and friendly. However they can be just as challenging as a large parrot. Unfortunately they are not very easy to breed in captivity. The Canary and White winged are probably the most common these days.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
