CBD oil for pigeon?

Hello all, I don’t know if this is the right place to ask, but I have a bit of an odd case to deal with. My pet pigeon of 3 years has severe neurological issues. She’s tested negative for PMV and we’re looking to test for Paratyphoid next, but I’m really at a loss as to what else I can do to help her live more comfortably. She can handle the basics like feeding and preening, but she gets stressed very easily and it dramatically worsens her symptoms(poor balance, temors, head tilt), has anyone tried CBD for their birds? Can anyone give any recommendations? Thanks!

I’m sorry about your pigeon. It sounds like your Vet is working on the cause. Hopefully something can be found and treatment will help. As for CBD oil, there have not been any scientific studies yet, although some have begun for birds. But until then, there are no recommendations either way. I know a lot of pet owners have used it on different types of pets. In general it is probably OK in the right amount but that hasn’t been determined. All you can do is keep researching and go with your own common sense.
