Cindy’s eggs

If Cindy has been exposed to a hefty amount of Vitamin D, will she pop out any unfertilized eggs?

Answer:

Hi Caldito,

I’m really not sure why you would want to do this. It’s OK for birds to get some natural sunlight as long as they are not left out in direct sunlight with no access to shade. Parrots can overheat and die very quickly. There are a lot of factors that determine egg laying, so vitamin D alone is not likely to result in eggs.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
