cockatiel breeding

I have brought a pair of cockatiels (One male and one female three weeks ago. they keep on mating for three weeks sometimes even thrice a day . But no eggs are laid yet. What is the reason?

Answer:

Hi,

This isn’t much time at all. They are still settling in to their new home, and when they are ready, she will lay eggs. Mating does not mean eggs are on the way. Some pairs mate and never lay eggs. Just be patient and hopefully she will lay eggs when she is ready.
