Cockatiel Leg Broken

My female cockatiel Leg has been broken. She had hit fan, no other injuries just right leg broken. My couple has given babies three months ago.

I have, few questions.

Still she able to breed?
Her partner will accept her again?
Will the leg be cure?

Answer:

Hi Rafieu,

You need to take the bird to an Avian vet to have the leg treated and to determine if there are any other injuries. The leg will not heal properly without treatment and it will be very painful for the bird. You need to keep her separated from other birds until the leg has completely healed. If the leg is not set and does not heal normally, it would not be a good idea to breed her again.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
