So I have two cockatiels the male is aged 1 year and a little more. I bought a female aged 2 year old. On the 2nd day the male climbed on the female and started to mate type thing. Then after again 2-3 days the mate. But the problem is they jus fight every other time.The male gives its head to the female to preen but the female bites.

I would recommend separating the birds for now. Your male is too young for breeding. He needs to be at least 2 years old before being caged with a female. Young males are more interested in mating than caring for a mate or chicks. He is likely to break or eat any eggs she might lay. And if he is allowed to develop this bad habit, he will be ruined as a breeding bird. Your female knows he is too immature. In some cases an older hen will kill a young male because she has no sue for him. I would keep them in separate cages for another year, and then try introducing them. They are more likely to bond once he is fully mature. There is no guarantee because in the wild they choose a mate and they do not always like the mate we choose. But you have a better chance at breeding success if you give him time to finish growing up.
