Colony of different kinds of birds?

can a pair of sun conure be kept with other species of birds?

Answer:

Hi,

If you mean sharing the same cage, it depends on what the other species are and how large the enclosure is. You see mixed bird exhibits at Zoos, but these are large flights and aviaries that you can walk into and each species can have their own space. It is best not to mix species in general. Some species are more gentle than others. Some aggressive species will harm or kill other species. It’s not a good idea to mix species that are not from the same region or continent. For example if you keep Cockatoos with Macaws, the Cockatoos produce a powder that protects their feathers, but that other species can be allergic to. And if this is a breeding pair, then they need their own cage.
