conure wont use perch

Hi, our yellow-sided conure is 22 years old. He is climbing on his cage but hasn’t used his perch all day. This is unusal for him. He appears to be alert and is eating. Do you have any idea what the problem may be?

The best thing to do is take him to an Avian Vet. He is a senior and could have something going on internally or something like arthritis. A change in habits and behavior can indicate a health issue.
