Does it matter if my parakeet haven’t lay eggs in two years?
I have a pair of parakeets for 2 years and their gender has been confirmed to be a male and a female. They live in a large cage around 1.8 x 1.3 x 1 cubic meters with enough toys and treats. However, since we are leaving in a 1b1b apartment, we have to move them around while cooking. Therefore, the condition is not stable enough for the lady bird to lay eggs even if they finished the mating ritual. I just want to simply ask if this situation will do any harm to her body or health? If so, I’ll figure out a way to provide the pair a stable environment.
FYI: they were bought from pets mart and are not friendly to people even after we tried many different ways. So instead we provide them a comfortable environment without too many human disturbance or taking them out and holding them to play.
