Dove food

I have Ring-necked doves. Does LeFeber have any special foods for doves? If not, will they ever have a diet for them?

Answer:

Hi Trish,

Unfortunately there is not enough demand for us to be able to produce and sustain a line of diets for doves. However, the nutrition in any of our small bird foods would be appropriate for doves. Since doves do not chew, then our finch granules, or our canary or parakeet or cockatiel pellets would be a good nutritionally balanced choice. But doves should also have some whole seeds. They can eat our Nutri-Berries if you crumble the food for them. And they also enjoy our Popcorn Nutri-Berries as a healthy treat. These do not need to be crumbled. I feed all of these products to my pigeon and ring-necked doves.

Thank you for asking Lafeber,

Brenda
