female cockatiel not accepting the male

female cockatiel not accepting the male to
mate they both are adult and how to mate them

Answer:

Hi,

Cockatiels choose their own mates in the wild. They do not always want the mates we choose for them. There is nothing you can do to force two birds to bond. They either get along or they do not. Both birds need to be at least 2 years old for breeding. If they are younger than 2, then separate them and try putting them back together when they are old enough. If they are over 2 years old, all you can do is wait and see if they end up bonding. It can take weeks, months or longer for a pair to bond, or they may never bond.
