Hi,
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but hope she figures out how to incubate them correctly. These eggs won’t develop, but it is good practice for next time. Are both parents at least 2 years old? Younger birds often do not have the patience to sit on eggs. If these birds are under 2, I would remove the nest box and wait until they are older. You don’t want them to form bad habits. If they are over two, then hopefully they will do better next time. Let them sit on these eggs for 2-3 weeks and then remove the box and discard the eggs. Wait 6 months before returning the box and letting them try again. If they fail again, they may simply not be good for breeding – not all birds are good breeders.
Thank you for asking Lafeber,
Brenda
