Food from your line?

I’m a first time conure owner and before I bring my new feather homie home, I was wondering what kind of pellets would be recommended? He’s just a little over 9 weeks..

Answer:

Hi Alvaro,

It will be best to have the food that he is used to, as well as what you want him to eat, and then transition him gradually. He does not specifically need pellets in order to have a complete diet. Our foraging foods  – Nutri-Berries, Avi-Cakes & Pellet-Berries – are nutritionally balanced the same as pellets, but they are not ground up. Most birds prefer these because they have whole ingredients and provide natural foraging exercise. These can be offered instead of pellets or you can also offer pellets. Some of our diets come in a conure size. Otherwise he would probably prefer small parrot, lovebird or cockatiel size.
